Days after Instagram videos of U2 performing on the Grand Central Station subway platform went viral, the bit made its official debut during Friday night’s installment of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The band, dressed in disguises, first performed a low-key rendition of “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” before ditching their camflouge to rip into a stirring version of “Desire.” (Not shown on the broadcast, U2 playing “Angel of Harlem,” video of which was captured on Monday.) Even busy New Yorkers seemed to approve.
