Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford has turned to friends and fans in an effort to get her two children – Helena, 5, and Hermes, 8 – back to America after losing them in a custody battle to her ex-husband, Daniel Giersch. (Giersch lives in France with the kids, but he is not permitted to enter to the U.S. due to a revoked work visa, according to Entertainment Tonight.)

Rutherford has sought support on social media, and her former Gossip Girl co-stars Ed Westwick and Matthew Settle have asked their fans to help, too. Kris Jenner brought Rutherford’s story to Kim Kardashian’s attention, and Westwick called on YouTube sensation Tyler Oakley to make the final push to obtain signatures for the petition.

As of early Wednesday morning, the We the People petition gained 100,000 signatures, thus warranting White House review.

“I just want to thank every single one of you that signed and shared the petition!” Rutherford wrote on Twitter. “I am so blessed to have your support! #wedidit”

The petition can be found here.
