Director George Miller has returned to his Mad Max franchise with this Friday’s Mad Max: Fury Road. But despite it being 30 years since the last Mad Max film, Miller doesn’t appear to have lost any enthusiasm for the franchise.

His excitement about bringing Max Rockatansky back to the big screen is on display in this New York Times video, which has the director narrating a scene from Fury Road. In it, he details the meeting of Tom Hardy’s Max and Charlize Theron’s Furiosa, focusing on the choreography that goes into the film’s action.

The clip won’t reveal too much for those hoping to go into the film relatively cold, and it’s a great chance to hear some insight directly from Miller about how the film came together.

Watch the clip below, and for more on the film, read EW’s interview with Junkie XL, who composed the film’s score.
