Warcraft movie debuts hyper-realistic look at a classic character

This summer might be all about the Hulk, but in June 2016, a different mean, green monster is going to take over.

Meet Orgrim. He’s the handsome fellow pictured above and one of the stars of Warcraft. The fantasy film, based on the enormously popular video game series, is still more than a year away, but Wired got an early first look from director Duncan Jones (Moon).

Orgrim is being brought to life through the combined effort of Industrial Light and Magic and actor Robert Kazinsky. “We were looking for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness of this character,” Jones told Wired about casting Kazinsky, whose face ILM used to model Orgrim.

Considering the level of detail that we’re already seeing in Orgrim, next summer’s high fantasy adventure looks like it might be worth the wait.

Warcraft, which also stars Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, and Toby Kebbell, opens in theaters on June 10, 2016.
