Show Me a Hero, an HBO miniseries created by The Wire’s David Simon and directed by Crash‘s Paul Haggis, is set to debut Aug. 16, the network announced Wednesday.

Oscar Isaac, Catherine Keener, Alfred Molina, Winona Ryder, LaTanya Richardson-Jackson, Bob Balaban, and Jim Belushi star in the show, which depicts a New York town dealing with housing desegregation in the 1960s. The drama is based on Lisa Belkin’s 1999 non-fiction book of the same name.

The six-part miniseries will air one part each Sunday beginning Aug. 16 and concluding Sept. 27.
