Never one to shy away from letting her opinion be known on Twitter, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling spent part of her Saturday weighing in on the historic vote in Ireland to legalize same-sex marriage.

After a fan responded to that tweet with a comment about how Professor Dumbledore should feel welcome in Ireland (Rowling told fans in 2007 that the Hogwarts headmaster was gay), Rowling posted a meme about Dumbledore and Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings getting married.

Rowling also quoted Martin Luther King on her Twitter page.

Praised Ireland for what it accomplished on Saturday.

And referenced Matthew Lewis’ recent Attitude magazine cover as a help to the cause.

Last week, Rowling and Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films, joked about Lewis’ racy photo shoot.
