Further proof time always marches on: David Letterman’s famous Late Show marquee at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York has been taken down.

Last week, after Letterman ended his run as host of The Late Show, the interior of his studio was taken apart and thrown away. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert launches on Sept. 8 from the Ed Sullivan Theater. Expect a new marquee to materialize before then.
