Los Angeles skate-rapper Tyler, the Creator—who in recent years has expanded into R&B, clothing design, and app development—hinted last night on Twitter that Odd Future, the hip-hop collective where he got his start, could be over.

The 24-year-old posted two particularly foreboding tweets:

Odd Future’s full name is Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, often shortened to the 7-letter acronym OFWGKTA. The often self-referential group commonly flips “Wolf Gang” in its memorabilia, creating the “Golf Wang” phrase Tyler refers to in his tweet.

Though it launched Tyler’s career—the MC released his third studio album in April—Odd Future also proved crucial for popularity of Earl Sweatshirt and Frank Ocean. When the group first gained widespread popularity in 2011, it would often tour as a unit, but recently members have opted to tour on their own; the last Odd Future tour was a brief European stint in July 2013.

Tyler, of course, is a known jokester and has a track record of tweeting misleading or plainly incorrect things. Here’s what he had to say this morning concerning his earlier tweets:
