Paramount Pictures obtained the screen rights to the book, which was originally published digitally on Wattpad, in October 2014. After centers on Tessa and Harry (based on One Direction’s Harry Styles), two college students who embark on a 50 Shades of Grey-type relationship, minus the BDSM. The book amassed over 1 billion online reads, and was published by Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books weeks after being acquired by Paramount .
Jennifer Gibgot and Adam Shankman will produce the film adaptation. After does not yet have a release date.
