Bill Fagerbakke, a series regular on the ’90s TV show Coach, is returning for NBC’s upcoming revival of the series.

EW has confirmed the return of Fagerbakke, who played Michael “Dauber” Dybinski, a special teams coach on the show’s original nine-season run on ABC. He will accompany his old co-star, Craig T. Nelson, on the follow-up series. Nelson will reprise his role as Hayden Fox and executive produce.

The revival picks up 18 years after the original series ended with Hayden now serving as his son’s assistant coach at a Pennsylvania Ivy League school that is in the middle of launching its new football program.

Coach creator Barry Kemp is leading the revival, which will premiere midseason on NBC.
