Jack Black, Bryan Cranston meet in Kung Fu Panda 3 trailer

(DreamWorks Animation)

Panda Power is back! In the first trailer for DreamWorks’ Kung Fu Panda 3, we find Po (voiced by Jack Black) in the midst of kung-fu training when he meets an older panda (voiced by Bryan Cranston) who lost his son many years ago. Not so coincidentally, Po was separated from his family a while back.

While the onlooking animals make the obvious connection, it becomes clear that the two bears share some DNA as both struggle to put two and two together.

Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Lucy Lui, and Seth Rogen are all back for the third installment, J.K. Simmons and Rebel Wilson bring even more star power to the animated film.

Hans Zimmer will provide the music, and Jennifer Yuh — the director of Kung Fu Panda 2 — returns in her role alongside Alessandro Carloni. Kung Fu Panda 3 is expected to hit theaters in January 2016.
