Nine Inch Nails' Alessandro Cortini debuts first track from upcoming solo album

(I Dream of Wires)

Alessandro Cortini is showing off his synth expertise again on “La Sveglia,” the latest track from his upcoming album solo album Risveglio. The new track features one of Cortini’s favorite elements, repetition.

“Repetition is bound to leave a mark on the listener,” the Nine Inch Nails member told FADER, who premiered the track. “It can go either way, and I am fine with either.”

The six-minute song builds into a full cacophony of muddled sound, before quickly fading away. Risveglio, which means “awakening” in Italian, will feature 10 more tracks with equally Italian names, and likely the same amount of ethereal synth. Cortini’s latest is due out July 27.
