Love is free, especially when it comes from Robyn. The star released “Love Is Free,” the latest single from her new project, Robyn & La Bagatelle Magique, on Thursday when she visited BBC Radio. Annie Mac debuted the track, a throwback to early rave days with a heavy bassline and “boom-chicka-booms.”

“We’ve been making music since I was a kid, together,” Robyn told Annie Mac about working with the band, made up of Markus Jägerstedt and the late Christian Falk. After Falk died last year, Robyn and Jägerstedt finished the “mini-album” together. When asked about working on the record after Falk’s death, she said, “It was something that helped me process that he was gone. He was still there.”

Robyn & La Bagatelle Magique made their live debut at Stockholm’s Dans Dakar music festival in August, and recently announced their first U.S. tour date at San Francisco’s Treasure Island Music Festival in the fall. Check out “Love is Free” below.
