Those unable to trek to Chicago or San Francisco to witness the conclusion of the Grateful Dead’s long, strange trip in person will be able to view the Grateful Dead’s final shows from their homes—or anywhere, really. Promoters Live Alliance announced that they will make the band’s final shows—two in Santa Clara on June 27 and 28 and three in Chicago on July 3, 4 and 5—available via YouTube. That means that any YouTube-connected device, ranging from computers to smartphones to gaming consoles, will be able to carry the concerts.

YouTube will broadcast the shows at youtube.com/dead50 and charge $19.95 for broadcasts of each of the Santa Clara gigs, and $29.95 for each of the Chicago ones. Because the shows sold out so quickly, promoters have gradually announced more and more ways to enjoy them remotely, including via pay-per-view, SiriusXM and at movie theaters.
