Since 1999, Jon Stewart has sat behind the desk of The Daily Show, hosting over 2,000 episodes. And with only a few more left before his final show in August, there’s no better time than now to take a trip down memory lane.

Billy Chasen put together a time-lapse video of Stewart’s time hosting on The Daily Show, a two-minute sprint through hundreds of Daily Show episodes. Watch for a reminder of every ridiculous story Stewart has had to discuss over the years – or simply to see the chaning of his hair – but whether you’ve seen every episode since he took over from Craig Kilborn or caught on some time in the last few years, it’s an incredible (and incredibly fast paced) reminder of just how long he’s been a fixture of our lives.
