The Weinstein Company is set to bring a series of 16 bestselling novels by Andy McNab to the small screen.

EW has confirmed that TWC has acquired the rights to the books—which revolve around Nick Stone, a former British Army regiment Special Air Service agent—and intend to develop a TV series from them. In the novels, Stone roams the world like a mercenary just trying to stay afloat, accomplishing his own missions now.

McNab is a former Special Air Service sergeant himself. He was awarded both the Distinguished Conduct Medal and Military Medal and was the British Army’s most highly decorated serving soldier when he left the SAS.

Deadline reports that Antoine Fuqua is in early discussions to direct the pilot and executive produce.
