DMX was reportedly arrested outside Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Friday night over allegations of unpaid child support.
A spokesman for the New York County Sheriff’s Office told WPIX-TV the 44-year-old rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was taken into custody for “several issues outstanding.”
Those reportedly included an arrest warrant issued in Erie County for $400,000 in unpaid child support, another warrant from the city of White Plains for bail jumping and a robbery complaint out of Newark, New Jersey. No charges have been filed in the Newark case, according to the Associated Press.
DMX had been scheduled to perform at the Masters of Ceremony concert at Radio City on Friday.
The rapper has a long history of legal trouble, including arrests for alleged animal cruelty, reckless driving and drug possession.
Calls to the New York County Sheriff’s Office were not immediately returned Saturday. EW has also reached out to reps for the rapper seeking comment.
