Before Britney Spears lobbed shade at “Pretty Girls” collaborator Iggy Azalea, she took in a night with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles on June 20. Just a fun night on the town. She might not have expected the troupe to cover one of her biggest songs and put a fun, theatrical spin on it.

The Chorus’ rendition of “Work Bitch” boasted dancers interpreting Spears’ unconventional motivational speech backed by a large group of men in tuxedos. It’s straightforward until the halfway point—then it really turns up. The Spears standard was included in the group’s “Vegas Baby!” performance that also included Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and Celine Dion.

“We wanted our take on ‘Work Bitch’ to be fun and unexpected,” Dr. Joe Nadeau, GMCLA Artistic Director and Conductor, told The Huffington Post. “When we found out Britney was in the audience the energy level went through the roof, and I think that showed in our performance! We were thrilled to get such a positive reaction from the audience and from Britney, and happy that people are enjoying the video.”
