In 202 days, there will be 202 episodes of The X-Files.
For now, though, there are 201 episodes—and just as many days to watch them all. Fox is counting down to the series’ anticipated return with an episode-a-day viewing schedule, starting with the pilot (and not including feature films The X-Files: Fight the Future or The X-Files: I Want to Believe).
The event trailer also includes the first footage of the revival, and it’s familiar in the best way: Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) charge through a door into a dark room, lit only by the beams of their flashlights. They’re barely visible, which is as good an excuse as any to watch those few seconds on a loop for the next 201 days—or at least until the next trailer comes out.
