In The Gallows, Cassidy Gifford, Reese Mishler, Pfeifer Brown, and Ryan Shoos star as high schoolers working on a play gone terribly, paranormally wrong. The foursome stopped by the Entertainment Weekly Lounge at Comic-Con to talk about their own creepy experiences on set.
Mishler and Brown both reported strange whispers, while Gifford talked about how her castmates dared her to sit alone in a dark, empty bathroom where they were filming. “I was not superstitious at all going into it, and these guys thought that was some BS,” she said. But after a few minutes, “the toilets started flushing, the sinks turned on, and I turned on the lights and ran.”
Gifford also dished on what her parents, Frank and Kathie Lee Gifford, thought of the film. “They both actually are not horror fans at all, but they enjoyed it a lot,” she said. “They were jumping!”
The Gallows will hit theaters on July 10.
