With shows like The Vampire Diaries and Game of Thrones, it’s easy to become complacent when your favorite characters get killed off — especially if you don’t see a body.

Well, the cast of Orphan Black stopped by the Entertainment Weekly Lounge at Comic-Con on Friday to tell us that Paul (Dylan Bruce) is definitely dead. Like, super dead. He is so dead that Bruce was only shot twice in the scene itself — two extra gunshots were added in post-production. With four gunshots plus some stab wounds and, oh, an exploding grenade, Paul is definitely the most dead that someone can be, according to the cast. A moment of silence for the deceased, please — abandon all hope, ye who watch the above video.

Check out the rest of their interview for more from Bruce’s farewell tour and to see how the cast manages to handle the explosive success the BBC America series has enjoyed since we began watching Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) and her sestras three seasons ago.
