Young Thug arrested for making 'terroristic threats'

Rapper Young Thug, whose given name is Jeffrey Lamar Williams, was arrested on Wednesday in Sandy Springs, Georgia, the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force confirmed to EW. Young Thug was arrested over an outstanding warrant issued by the Dunwoody police, and he was charged with making “terroristic threats” at a previous incident.

“Williams was wanted on an outstanding warrant charging him with terroristic threats stemming from an incident that occurred with the jurisdiction of the Dunwoody police,” U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force Jim Joyner said in a statement.

The rapper will face a bond hearing in county jail on Wednesday.

Young Thug’s reps did not return EW’s immediate request for comment.
