Sony’s Passengers is adding more all-stars to its cast: EW has confirmed with the studio that Michael Sheen will join Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt in the sci-fi adventure, directed by Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game).
The film — written by Dr. Strange scribe Jon Spaihts (his script was on 2007’s Black List for Hollywood’s most liked unproduced projects) — takes place in the future on a spacecraft with thousands of passengers aboard in cryogenic sleep heading to a new planet. The love story reportedly takes place when, “one passenger awakens from crygenic sleep 90 years before anyone else and decides to wake up a female passenger.”
The Masters of Sex star will play a robot who is travelling alongside Pratt and Lawrence.
