A member of the Cul-de-Sac Crew is relocating to Virginia.

Josh Hopkins — who played Courteney Cox’s love interest on Cougar Town — has landed a starring role on ABC’s Quantico, EW has learned.

The actor will portray Special Agent Liam O’Connor, a staff counselor at Quantico who works with the new agent trainees. Though Liam and Miranda (the Assistant Director of the FBI academy, played by Aunjanue Ellis) were once partners, he is now her subordinate. Due to a mistake in his past, the otherwise charming and capable agent is prone to bouts of depression.

Their shared history lends a certain fondness to their relationship, but the changed power dynamics often lead them to butt heads even though Miranda is the one who brought him on board at Quantico.

ABC’s new thriller debuts Sept. 27 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
