Gomie lives! And he’s trying to change Albuquerque for the better.

Former Breaking Bad actor Steven Michael Quezada told The Associated Press he intends to announce his candidacy for county commissioner of Bernalillo County on Tuesday. Already a school board member, Quezada seeks to “make a difference in the district which includes the historic Hispanic South Valley and an area where developers are seeking to build new homes,” via the AP.

“I think I bring a new face to the Democratic Party,” Quezada, 52, told the AP. “We need to reach out to our young people — young Chicanos, the young Latinos — and get them involved in this process and let them know this is important.”

The election will be held in 2016. Read the full story at The Associated Press.
