Jurassic World star Brian Tee has joined the cast of NBC’s Chicago Med as a series regular, EW has learned.

A spin-off of both Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D., Chicago Med is an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city’s most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors who hold it together.

Tee, whose TV credits also include Hawaii Five-0 and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., will play a Chicago-born resident at the hospital who found his calling in medicine after several tours of duty as an Army medic. (Fun fact: Tee is slated to play villain Shredder in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel.)

The series, which hails from Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead, also stars Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Laurie Holden, Nick Gehlfuss and Yaya Dacosta.

Chicago Med premieres Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
