You know him as Captain America, but Chris Evans is trying to be a different sort of hero in this new trailer for his directorial debut, Before We Go.

The film follows two strangers (Evans, and Star Trek Into Darkness’ Alice Eve) who meet by chance one night in New York City’s Grand Central Station, after her purse is stolen and she misses her train. The two grow closer as the night progresses and he tries to help her get back home.

“If we can find your purse, we can get you home and make me a hero,” he tells her. “Want to come with me on a little adventure?”

Before We Go will be available on VOD beginning Tuesday, July 21, and in select theaters on Sept. 4. Watch the trailer, via Yahoo! Movies, below.
