See the first trailer for HBO's upcoming Tashi and the Monk — Exclusive

Up in the Himalayas, one monk runs a community for orphaned and abandoned children — and filmmakers Andrew Hinton and Johnny Burke hung around the community to film a documentary titled Tashi and the Monk, which premieres on HBO in August.

Tashi is the community’s newest addition, and she’s having some trouble acclimating to her new home. In an exclusive trailer shared with EW, she is seen crying and throwing temper tantrums. However, she also dances with the other children, hinting that the 40-minute documentary may end happily for Tashi.

Watch the trailer above, and see the whole film when it premieres on HBO Aug. 17.
