As it turns out, Tom Cruise approaches a lip-sync battle with the same kind of full-tilt enthusiasm he devotes to everything he does, including running super fast and hanging off the sides of planes

The actor, currently promoting his role in Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation, stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday to give the host a run for his money, performing The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” and Meatloaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Light.” But it was the pair’s eventual duet on The Righteous Brothers’ “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” that stole the show. “This one goes out to Goose,” Fallon said, before starting in on the 1965 song, which had a resurgence after it was famously used in Cruise’s Top Gun.

Before the show aired, Fallon wrote on Twitter that Cruise “brought it,” and the actor replied that he “had a blast!” (Also, did you realize that Cruise’s Twitter bio reads, in part, “Running in movies since 1981”? Delightful.)
