Deadpool's trailer for a trailer is the proper way to do a trailer trailer

Teaser trailers for trailers have become common practice in Hollywood, the actual arrival of the trailer not being quite enough for studios hoping to raise anticipation for their films. And while they’re normally comprised of a few seconds of footage from the actual trailer, Deadpool promises the arrival of his first trailer with an entirely fresh tease.

20th Century Fox announced over the weekend that the first trailer of Deadpool made available to the public (one was screened at San Diego Comic-Con to such welcome reception that it was screened a second time) during Tuesday’s episode of Conan. But in the build-up to its unveiling Ryan Reynolds has jumped back into the Deadpool suit to tease a film “from the studio that inexplicably sewed his f—–g mouth shut the first time.”

Studios, take note – this is how you properly tease a trailer.

Deadpool hits theaters on Feb. 12.
