Wet Hot actor says no to Liberia Peace Corps work in new clip from Fort Tilden

(Orion)

Out Friday on VOD and in select theaters, Fort Tilden focuses on what happens when two Brooklyn women – played by Bridey Elliott and Clare McNulty – try to meet two possible male suitors at the titular beach on one summer afternoon. Directed Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers, the comedy made its initial debut at the 2014 South by Southwest Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury prize for best feature.

Filled with awkward misadventures, Fort Tilden shares some surface DNA with Girls and Broad City, but fans of Netflix’s recent Wet Hot American Summer revival will also want to take note. Bliss and Rogers were staff writers on the series, and actor John Early, who played hopeful Electro City lead Logan, also appears in the film – and this new clip.

Watch below to see Early’s attempts to dissuade McNulty’s character from heading to Liberia to join the Peace Corps. Hint: Just say “no.”
