A blockbuster that starred Denzel Washington could have a second life on CBS.

EW has confirmed that Training Day, the 2001 movie that starred Washington as a rogue detective, is being developed as a possible drama series. CBS ordered a pilot that will take place 15 years after the movie.

In this iteration, the series is set in today’s Los Angeles Police Department. Antoine Fuqua, who directed the 2001 movie that also starred Ethan Hawke, will helm the pilot from a script by former LAPD detective Will Beall (Gangster Squad, Castle).

Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman will executive produce the project.

Washington won an Oscar for playing the leading role in Training Day, which grossed over $76 million.
