One highlight of Apple Music’s new Beats 1 radio service is OTHERtone, the show Pharrell Williams hosts with popular music supervisor Scott Vener (Dope, Entourage). The duo spins an eclectic mix and interviews cool celebrities (a recent episode featured Justin Timberlake and Cara Delevingne), but the coolest part of OTHERtone might be the goodies Pharrell throws in from his own vault. Last night it was “Locked Away,” an unearthed N.E.R.D. gem that as breezy and fun as the group’s best work.

Admitted Pharrell and N.E.R.D. superfan, Tyler, the Creator also appeared on OTHERtone to discuss everything from his asthma to meeting Hans Zimmer at Coachella and to play some picks of his own, including “Shake Appeal” by the Stooges. Pharrell also recounted meeting Michael Jackson, in a clip that’s streaming below.

Pharrell also debuted his new single “Freedom” and its music video via Apple Music earlier this summer.
