This Project Runway pair needs to learn how to pare down

Two heads aren't always better than one

(Lifetime)

If there’s one thing Project Runway designers hate more than the unconventional challenge, it’s probably the always-disastrous group challenge—and this season they’re back-to-back. Thursday’s episode of the fashion reality show has designer pairs creating looks—inspired by travel destinations around the world—that can go from day to night.

As seen in the exclusive sneak peek above, the result of Amanda and Gabrielle’s combined efforts is not well-received by the judges. As guest judge Tracee Ellis Ross says, they had seven ideas when they should have had three. But worst of all: The two women think it’s a great look and are proud of their product. And although the judges sometimes appreciate when contestants stand by their designs—good or bad—the fact that this is Amanda’s second week in the bottom does not bode well for her.

Project Runway airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
