Two long years since its last installment, the second season of EastSiders has finally arrived, and EW has an exclusive first look at the funny, dark, and heartbreakingly real moments to come.
Season 1 of the critically acclaimed webseries ended on a dire note for the future of the relationship between Cal (Kit Williamson) and Thom (Van Hansis). Following infidelity from both sides, Cal moved out of their shared apartment after four years as a couple, but they couldn’t quite keep away from each other. In season 2, Cal and Thom experiment with opening the boundaries of their relationship. However, that option is not typically effective when the couple in question can’t trust each other — and Cal and Thom can’t even trust themselves.
The series, which was created by Williamson, also stars Fresh Off the Boat’s Constance Wu, Matthew McKelligon, John Halbach and features guest appearances from Sean Maher, Stephen Guarino, Brea Grant, and Traci Lords. Brianna Brown joins the cast for season 2 as Cal’s sister, Hillary, and Satya Bhabha, Adam Bucci, Vera Miao, and Willam Belli also count among the series newcomers.
EastSiders has its passionate fan base to thank for its return; like the first season, season 2 was crowdfunded on Kickstarter, with just over 1,000 backers blowing past the $125,000 goal. The entire new season is now available for purchase through Vimeo for $19.99.
