Following in the footsteps of the Spider-Man films, which were recently recut with a touch of Deadpool, is Man of Steel. YouTube user solyentbrak1 took a nod from Fox’s upcoming superhero movie and gave Zack Snyder’s Superman a “merc with the mouth” edge.

Among the criticisms Man of Steel faced was the lack of humor in the overall serious film. With this fan-made spoof, however, Henry Cavill’s Krypotian develops a sense of humor — and an uncontrollable, deadly streak.

“After seeing The Usual Suspect brilliant Spiderman crossover trailer, I decided to have a go,” reads the video’s caption. “I originally started this with Batman but changed to Superman.” Watch the video below.

Since debuting the first footage at San Diego Comic-Con, Deadpool has become a hit among comic book movie buffs. The film, directed by Tim Miller and starring Reynolds, became a standout of the festivities due to its hard R rating. The Man of Steel follow-up, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, was another highlight. Both films will hit theaters next year.
