MTV’s Scream will pay tribute to executive producer Wes Craven during Tuesday’s finale, an MTV spokesperson tells EW.

Craven died Sunday from brain cancer at the age of 76. Though Craven admitted prior to the show’s debut that he had little — if anything — to do with the MTV series, Scream is based on Craven’s 1996 horror-thriller of the same name which still stands as the definition of the genre. The series also borrows a number of elements from the four Scream films, the last of which was released in 2011.

It’s not yet clear how MTV will honor Craven, but the network will be ready with some sort of tribute when the finale airs Tuesday at 10 p.m ET.
