Parks and Recreation alumni Michael Schur and Matt Hubbard are developing a new interracial-themed family comedy for NBC.

EW has confirmed that the network has given a production commitment to the untitled single-camera comedy about a happily-married interracial couple, Andrew and Josie, whose lives take a turn when they move close to Josie’s family in Missouri.

Hubbard, the former 30 Rock co-executive producer and Parks and Recreation consulting producer, will serve as writer on the new show; he’ll also executive produce with Schur (co-creator of Parks and Rec and Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and David Miner.

For Schur, the news comes less than a month after NBC gave his comedy A Good Place a straight-to-season order of 13 episodes.
