See the Bay Area’s evolution in exclusive trailer for HBO doc San Francisco 2.0

San Francisco has a longtime reputation as a diverse city of artists and activists, and now, thanks to the recent tech boom in Silicon Valley, the City by the Bay has welcomed a new group of wealthy young tech innovators. These members of the digital elite have brought new wealth and new technology to San Francisco, transforming the city both for better and for worse. In this exclusive trailer for Alexandra Pelosi’s latest HBO doc, Pelosi takes a look at how San Francisco has evolved after the “IT invasion.”

Pelosi, a former NBC News producer, has made eight other documentaries for HBO, including the Emmy-winning Journeys With George, which followed George W. Bush on the campaign trail, and Friends Of God, which documents the rise of American evangelicalism.

San Francisco 2.0 will debut Sept. 28 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
