Every wanted to experience a first-person shooter video game in the theater? Hardcore is as close to a cinematic recreation of that.

The Toronto International Film Festival selection is a 90-minute film entirely shot from the first-person perspective. The trailer opens with Henry, a human-turned-cyborg-war-machine, waking up from a cryogenic slumber. In testing his prosthetic hand, he breaks an egg; it’s the least violent moment of the two minutes. Noticeably, like many FPS games, the protagonist and point-of-view character doesn’t utter any lines, at least in the trailer.

Hardcore, directed by Ilya Naishuller, debuted Saturday at TIFF and stars Sharlto Copley (District 9) and Haley Bennett (The Equalizer). Watch the crazed, NSFW trailer above.
