Brit Marling and Sam Worthington face off in exclusive clip from Western thriller The Keeping Room

In the new, intense, Civil War-set thriller The Keeping Room, Brit Marling’s character Augusta attracts the extremely unwelcome attention of two soldiers (Sam Worthington, Kyle Soller) whom she then accidentally leads back to the farmstead she shares with her sister Louise (Hailee Steinfeld) and a slave named Mad (Muna Otaru). What ensues has been described as a mix of Cold Mountain and Straw Dogs — and we’re not about to argue with that assessment.

Directed by Daniel Barber (Harry Brown), The Keeping Room opens in cinemas, Sept. 25.

You can see both the film’s trailer and an exclusive clip featuring both Marling and Worthington, below.
