Michaela Watkins gets the hang of modern-day dating in first Casual trailer — exclusive

(Hulu)

Anyone who’s attempted to find a relationship in the Internet age knows it isn’t easy. So when Valerie (Michaela Watkins, SNL, Trophy Wife) re-enters the dating pool after divorcing her husband of nearly 20 years in Hulu’s Casual, she must learn the rules for hooking up in 2015. And of course, the mother of one makes some mistakes along the way. “You shouldn’t have texted him six times and done his laundry,” Valerie’s brother Alex (Tommy Dewey, The Mindy Project) warns in the first trailer for the show.

Alex lives with his sister and sexually liberated teenage niece (Tara Lynne Barr), whom he and Valerie catch about to get it on with her boyfriend in the clip. The best friend brother-sister duo aren’t shy about their sharing their love lives, either, trading dating stories and even meeting up with prospective partners at the same restaurants.
