On Oct. 6, acclaimed book publicist-turned-essayist Sloane Crosley will release her first novel, The Clasp, which follows a moderately estranged group of college pals on a search through Paris to find a missing necklace. That necklace they’re hunting for just might be THE necklace, i.e., the inspiration for Guy de Maupassant’s famous story, “The Necklace.”
