John Carpenter's Halloween returning to theaters for one night only

(Everett Collection)

The original Mike Meyers is returning to theaters to terrorize audiences for a one-night only event, but he won’t be arriving on the night you’d expect.

Fathom Events has announced that John Carpenter’s original 1978 Halloween starring Jamie Lee Curtis will screen in theaters on Oct. 29 with an exclusive introduction by Carpenter himself. The date situates the movie right in between its original 1978 release date of Oct. 25 and the titular holiday the film takes place on.

All screenings will be held at 7:30 p.m. local time, and a full list of locations and available tickets can be found on Fathom’s website.

A new entry in the franchise, Halloween Returns, was announced this summer by Dimensions Films.
