Lady Gaga joins Nile Rodgers for 'I Want Your Love' cover

Never one for tradition, Lady Gaga helped fashion designer Tom Ford start a new trend when he skipped Fashion Week in favor of showing his collection in a music video. As models party down the runway in his spring/summer 2016 looks, Gaga puts a jazzy spin on Chic’s “I Want Your Love” with frontman Nile Rodgers. Gaga eventually makes her way down the catwalk, rocking a black bra as the dance party continues.

“It was a great deal of fun to do and I think that the video captures the spirit of the collection in a way that a filmed traditional show would not have,” Ford said in a statement.

Gaga expressed her excitement for the video on Twitter Friday, saying it was a “Beautiful day filming w/ 3 talented, brilliant, & CHIC gentlemen.”

The pop star released “Til It Happens to You” last month, making the Chic cover her second track of the year. Next up, Gaga stars in the fifth season of American Horror Story. She said her role on the show will influence her music, but that AHS remains her focus as long as the Hotel stays open for businesses. “It was planned out for me to do one project at a time and give my full attention to each so I can enjoy myself,” Gaga told EW. “I can give myself fully to the cast.”

AHS: Hotel premieres Oct. 7, but before Gaga turns into the blood-loving Countess, check out the energetic video for “I Want Your Love”:
