As The Walking Dead prepares to return for its sixth season, Robert Kirkman assured fans there will definitely be some exciting developments this time around (beyond the return of Morgan Jones, played by Lennie James, in a full-time capacity).
“I think more than any other season, you’re going to not only continue to see our characters evolve, but you’re going to get to see them interact with people who have also lived in this world, but have evolved in completely different things,” Kirkman told EW on Thursday at New York Comic Con.
While he couldn’t give away too many details about the latest installment, he did joke about the possibility of water zombies. And with the 150th issue of The Walking Dead comic approaching, Kirkman said he hopes to continue with the story until he dies – and then the story will have “no resolution.” But, hey, it was a good run while it lasted, right?
The Walking Dead premieres Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
