Teen Wolf cast teases new big bad: The Beast

One day after blowing the doors of New York Comic Con with a new trailer and a host of juicy tidbits about the forthcoming season 5B, Teen Wolf stars Tyler Posey, Dylan Sprayberry, and Cody Christian stopped by the EW and Sirius XM suite inside New York’s Javits Center to discuss the show’s new big bad. Well, as much as they could without getting in trouble.

“I don’t know what I’m allowed to say,” Posey said to EW’s Sam Highfill. Christian gave him some tips: “Because Jeff [Davis, the Teen Wolf executive producer] isn’t here, I think the best route would be to leave it very ambiguous.”

Here’s what fans do know about the latest Teen Wolf heavy: its name is The Beast.

“The name itself tells what this monster creature is. It’s a beast,” Christian said.

“It’s ominous. It’s scary. But there’s not much we can say. Part of it is because we don’t know much about it, as actors,” Posey added.

But while Posey has not yet shot scenes with the new evildoer on the show, both Christian and Sprayberry have. “The picture of the dude that plays the thing is a guy in a gray suit with a noodle on his head,” Sprayberry said. The “noodle” is to make the actor look taller.

“It’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” Christian said.
