Iggy Azalea has 'nothing to do' with Rita Ora's 'Lady Marmalade'

Singer Rita Ora recently said “it’s always been my goal to create another ‘Lady Marmalade,’”  and already had three ladies in mind for it: Iggy Azalea, Miley Cyrus, and Charli XCX.

But pump the brakes: One key member of her ideal quartet isn’t down.

Azalea took to Twitter to note she has “nothing to do” with the idea Ora floated. Here’s Azalea’s tweet:

Naturally, given the 140-character refutation, outlets picked it up. At least Azalea gave the go-ahead.

The classic Labelle track has undergone a pair of modern remakes since its 1974 release. All Saints took it on in 1998, and Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil’ Kim, and Mya gathered to collaborate for the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack in 2001.
