Before the Sleepy Hollow panel thrilled fans at New York Comic Con, the cast and crew sat down with EW’s Kyle Anderson to chat about the upcoming season.

Stars Lyndie Greenwood (Jenny Mills), Zach Appelman (Joe Corbin), and Nikki Reed (Betsy Ross), and executive producer Raven Metzner dished about new characters, casting, and a much-anticipated crossover episode.

Fans have been buzzing about the Sleepy Hollow/Bones crossover, which will air Oct. 29 in both shows. Metzner pointed out that though the similarities between the characters in Sleepy Hollow and the characters in Bones – especially between Ichabod and Brennan – created a solid basis for a crossover, they still faced some challenges.

“While [Ichabod and Brennan] both are sort of detectives, their worlds are so different,” Metzner said. “We had to create a case that could stretch across the actual real world and also one that happens in the supernatural world.”

The actors also discussed shipping, a topic co-stars Nicole Beharie and Tom Mison are all too familiar with. There’s no shortage of fan love for the relationship between Ichabod and Abbie (or Ichabbie), and now Jenny is starting to get paired up.

So far Greenwood has seen fans ship Jenny and Irv and Jenny and Katrina. “They’re just shipping me all over the place,” she says. “They don’t know where to put me yet.”
