Brian Fellow is not an accredited zoologist, nor does he hold an advanced degree in any of the environmental sciences, but that didn’t stop Tracy Morgan from bringing back the beloved character during his Saturday Night Live homecoming on Saturday night.

Morgan, who plays the enthusiastic young man with a sixth grade education and an abiding love for all of God’s creatures, was at his best during the sketch, asking if beavers smoke (they don’t) and dealing with an unruly camel (the magic of live television).

Brian Fellow wasn’t the only recurring character Morgan dusted off during his SNL hosting stint. On Weekend Update, he appeared as Woodrow, the homeless man who famously sang “take a doo-doo pie” to Britney Spears during a 1999 episode.

And for the last sketch of the night, Morgan played Astronaut Jones with a special appearance from musical guest Demi Lovato. Fun fact: the opening credits for Astronaut Jones have not changed since Morgan was on SNL as a castmember.

Morgan’s emotional SNL night also included a 30 Rock reunion and Larry David as Bernie Sanders.
